Anyone have insight into the E.01 error on an Ascaso Uno Steel PID? Pump isn't drawing in water, neither at the grouphead nor the steam wand. Manual says it's "dose control fault" and from googling a few reddit posts, seems like it's just a dud (faulty solenoid?) and will have to send it back to vendor. It does heat up and the switches/lights seem to work otherwise. Was hoping someone knows of an easy fix before doing the warranty thing...thanks in advance!

Yeah it seems that unfortunately Ascaso units have a reputation for this sort of thing, but both the distributor and manufacturer are good about replacing faulty units. They did ask me to try manually flushing bubbles out of the system with a turkey baster but I couldn't generate enough pressure so something must've really been up with the valves, not just a little air bubble. Anyway fingers crossed, warranty unit is on the way.
