When dark spots, usually grind coarser.

I think you have your puckology reading backward. Darker is more solubles remaining. But also, what is your goal here? Do you have a problem looking for a solution? I don’t see anything “wrong”.

super light -> clump that didn't get wet at all
dark -> got wet but didn't get extracted well

verdict: maybe do a better job doing WDT expresser

Grind coarser, pull shots longer. Unless your aim is milky things?

Even if aim is milky things*

if slow tastes good for you, do slow

but definitely try faster anyways because it'll be more forgiving usually
and brightness is delicious

Yeah, I would not exactly say longer ratio is more forgiving. I like it. I recommend it. But it can be as fickle as anything else

The coarser you grind the less clumpy the grounds can be IME, which is at least a significant portion of the action of WDT.

My pucks look identical to this with my Niche if the flow is that slow

Some people apparently have good results pulling slow shots. I find that anything past 30s or so for a standard shot is terrible. Generally I aim for 2.5ml/s peak output or higher
