Wow. This is a puzzle. You have stock itallmills? Unfortunately, I feel forced to conclude that something you have claimed is actually not true. If the burrs were aligned and at or just off chirp, you wouldn’t have table salt. I have df64 v4. With Italmill. Alignment verified by espresso outlet. I verified they set it just off chirp. And I grind anywhere between 14 and 20 depending on the coffee and shot profile. Can you share any more details? The only other thing I can think of is that I have heard cast burrs have to be ground pretty close to zero. cup_shrug
