Shot Time Extremely Fast

Beans: Nomad F.CR.CAN.
Roast date: 10/13/2022
Grinder: Niche
Grind settings: First 9, then 6, 3
WDT and Normcore tamper
Machine: Rancilio Silvia Pro X
6 second pre-infusion

Normally I grind between 10 and 17 on my Niche. I've never had a problem like this before with any of my beans.

I did 3 or 4 shots getting progressively finer all shots except the last were about 15 sec including the pre-infusion time. The last was around 19 sec. I don't understand why these beans would need to be ground that fine.

It seems like it might be channeling, but I don't know why these beans are channeling so consistently when I haven't had this problem before.

Nomad stuff is much lighter than it may appear on the outside, and almost always would require a pretty fine grind to slow down

I don’t know if the pro x has adjustable preinfusion, but if it does you could reduce that if you’re wanting a coarser grind

You can see how light it is by the colour of the grounds
