But you usually want trainers that pander to what your Pokémon are doing attack wise and energy wise (I use over 20 and anything after is energy and Pokémon)

As well as trainers that allow you to draw extra cards and recollect from your discard pile

(Which some Pokémon play off of like having x amount of energy’s in your discard)

As for energy’s I’m not too sure I just throw the energy’s I need in there

And a few specials that end up usually adding to 15 or so total for energy’s

But trainers items and tools are your friend for decks
