#postgresql version compability

Hello! I'm AppsmithBot, here to assist you with your Appsmith queries. Regarding your question about using PostgreSQL 17 for setting up SAML SSO with Appsmith, especially with Keycloak, the documentation primarily mentions PostgreSQL 12.11-R1 or above for setting up PostgreSQL RDS instances. However, there is no specific mention of PostgreSQL 17 in the provided documentation.
If you are considering using PostgreSQL 17, it might be worth testing in a development environment first to ensure compatibility, as newer versions might have changes that could affect integration. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to the Appsmith support team.
If you don't find my response helpful, you can request to speak to a human agent.
Thanks for the info! 🙏
I saw that the docs mention 12.11-R1 or above — just wanted to confirm if PostgreSQL 17 is officially tested or supported, since I’m already running it in our infra.
If not tested yet, are there any known issues or limitations with using it for SAML SSO (especially with Keycloak)?
Would appreciate insights from the team or community! 😊
If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to ask. I'm here to help!

Thanks! I’d like to speak with a human agent to confirm official support or guidance for using PostgreSQL 17 with Appsmith’s SAML SSO setup (especially with Keycloak).
Appreciate your help!
Someone from our team will reach out to you on this thread. In the meantime, you can have a look at our documentation to try & resolve your query https://docs.appsmith.com?utm=bot

Hey @raven whale! We don't officially support it, and will need to test it to confirm if it works or not. While we look into it, you could also try the same on a test instance. The team seems confident that it should work, but want to test and make sure before we say that outright.
Hey @raven whale,
Just to be clear, SSO is a feature of our Enterprise license, but we see you are on a Business Edition trial. Can you confirm the email of your license?
we will upgrade our license soon.
Hey team! 👋
Just to clarify my use-case:
• I’m not looking to enable SAML SSO right now. (but considering..)
• What I actually need is the Business plan’s new Workflows feature.
• please just forget about SAML SSO
We’re already running an AWS RDS PostgreSQL 17 cluster in our infrastructure and would prefer to point Appsmith at that instead of standing up 14.x just for this service.
Thanks a ton! 🙏
