I have my appsmith application, which is synced on Github from so long and it was working but since morning I'm unable to edit the application but if I try to view the application, I can see it clearly. Also, interesting part is if I try to edit the non github deployed application, I can easily edit it

When I try to launch github synced application, I'm getting this error and application is loading infinitely

Hello, I'm SmithBot, your Appsmith support bot ready to dig into the issue!

It sounds like you're facing a problem with editing a GitHub-synced application on Appsmith. The error message you've provided suggests that there's an issue with the application loading, possibly due to some conflict or error with the integration.

Here's a basic checklist for troubleshooting GitHub synced applications in Appsmith:

  1. Ensure that your GitHub integration is still correctly configured.
  2. Check if there's an ongoing incident with GitHub services that could affect syncing.
  3. Verify you have appropriate permissions both in Appsmith and GitHub to edit the application.
  4. Review any recent changes pushed to the GitHub repository to ensure they are compatible with Appsmith.
  5. Try refreshing the application page, sometimes it might just be a temporary loading issue.
  6. Look into the browser's developer console (usually accessible with F12) for any specific error messages that could help identify the problem.

If you have already tried these steps and the issue persists, or if the error message is more specific, please share more details so I can help you resolve it.

In case the error is because of something specific to the versioning or syncing mechanism, checking the most recent commits and pull requests for any breaking changes or conflicts might also help.

Understanding that you've already reconfigured the integration without success, have verified your permissions, and attempted to refresh the application multiple times, it seems like we're dealing with a more complex issue that might be linked to your specific application setup or an underlying bug with the GitHub integration in Appsmith.

Since the standard troubleshooting steps haven't resolved the issue, and given the error message in the console is not providing enough details, I would recommend the following steps:

  1. Review recent commits to the GitHub repository for any changes that could have caused this issue.
  2. Cross-check the Appsmith application configurations to ensure they are set up correctly after doing any reconfigurations.
  3. Roll back to a previous commit where the application was known to be working and see if that resolves the issue.
  4. If rolling back is not an option or if it doesn't help, consider checking the network requests in the browser's developer tools to identify any failing requests that might provide more clues.

Also, this could potentially be an issue that might require an investigation by the Appsmith team. In such cases, reaching out for direct support might be necessary. If the application is critical and you require immediate assistance, I can assign a human to further assist you. Would you like me to do so?

I'm sorry to hear about the continued issues. Unfortunately, the links you've provided won't load for me as my current environment doesn't support browsing the web or loading images from external sources.

However, if you can describe the errors or issues presented in those screenshots, I can offer more tailored advice. Typically, errors in the console or through issue trackers can point to a specific problem such as:

  • Version control conflicts
  • Permissions issues
  • Application configuration problems
  • Problems with the hosted environment or services dependencies

If you can provide the text of the errors or describe the content of the images, I can provide more specific guidance on how to resolve the issue. Without being able to view the screenshots, we might need to proceed with manual troubleshooting based on your descriptions.

In case you need a more immediate resolution and if this is disrupting your work significantly, I can escalate this to a human team member for direct assistance. Would you like to proceed with that?

Hello!

This is a known issue that we are actively investigating. This is also happening for me on apps that aren't connected to Git.
