#Match MacOS less jumpy behavior

I've been on Windows for 11 years. I'm happy but I also deeply remember what the Mac was like. So, when I'm using Files, I instantly feel like something is "wrong" when in column view.
Here is a side by side comparison. Notice how much visual movement is going on in Files. Notice how the Mac is fast, simple and clean. It leaves a blank column on the right instead of "slamming the door" and jumping back like Files.

Apple's UI convention is to prevent the brain from movement overload.
I think Files would be so much better to mimic this exact behavior.

Oh, and notice the failure to open a folder in Files. I get this quite often.

This was supposed to have been resolved 3.9

Yes it was. But this is also about the general operation on the Mac. It's better.
