It would be really nice if we could convert between png and jpg, or say HEIC to png, or something like that directly from the files app. Would save me a lot of time as someone who has to convert such filetypes on the daily.

There are various shell extensions that can already be used for this, but I wouldn't rule out adding a built-in feature at some point.
