What is your use case? What is your budget?

Hello! It’s a great device for what you asked for. This MacBook can handle all that staff pretty well without having any lags or anything. The new M5 Max chip is a chip that was designed for power. But for the future it can last a few years but then you will have to move on. It depends on the use you’re looking for doing on the future.

It’s the most powerful yet, later new programs and operating systems updates will release that it will not support. If you get it now it will last you around 7-8 years of future updates and for gaming? Don’t expect AAA gaming in 4 years and later

#

It’s a great choice, especially for what u want. But I warn you that you will have to upgrade in 7-8 years

#

Go for it

#

It’s good, but you have to know that whatever computer you are getting you have to change it in some years. It’s good for future proofing, I would recommend it. 7-8 years I much think, right? So yeah go for it

#

I’m sorry if I made you confused 😄

Yeah the Pro will be the best Choice in my opinion

#

no

#

a base m5 pro would be great

#

a maxed out one is overkill

languid plank
#

yeah basically the same

#

no application that runs on the base M5 is going to need the M5 max in a few years

#

not that much, also it is not the only thing

#

the ram is the one that needs to be increased

#

not the chip, as it’s already powerful

#

128gb is overkill, for future proofing i’d get 32gb

#

you most likely won’t be using that laptop

#

I mean.. it’s 15 years old 😭

#

Why would you need all that stuff when you just do what u described

#

128GBs for cyberpunk?

languid plank
#

parallels won’t need that much ram

fervent yoke
#

Exactly

#

I think 64 would be great

languid plank
#

they do but, not 128gb much

languid plank
#

I don’t know

#

yeah the max is 32gb
