Are the Airpods Max 2 Worth it

I am considering buying the new airpods max 2 having never owned a pair, but the price tag vs other brands kind of puts me off.
For those who already own them, what is your experience, do you like them or do you regret the decision?

I do fly quite a bit and currently have Airpod Pro 2 which is pretty decent with ANC, but having to take them in and out as I go through the airport, plus battery life isnt the greatest so would like a pair of over ears.

I do have Beats Pro, but these are probably going on 7 years old now and the ANC sucks compared to newer tech.

Got myself a pair today. The ANC and the Transparancy modes are quite a lot better than the Beats Studio Pro I had before, considering there was a problem with the ANC and Transparancy modes where there was a static in the right earpiece. Static or not, I think it's worth the upgrade, only if it's necessary, however.

I like them a lot, but I wish I hadn't bought them from Apple directly. Amazon seems to sell them for less consistently. That being said, I had the airpods 1 for 5 years now and am happy to finally have new features like adaptive audio

I just got a pair a few days ago. I'll say the Sony XM6s and the Bose QC Ultra headphones are definitely worth looking into. Both are lighter and also come with a better case, and the XM6 have better noise cancellation.

AirPods Max 2 win on build quality (they're way more premium than those two which are overwhelmingly plastic), better transparency, and ecosystem

Hello! AirPods Max 2 is a solid choice, but yeah the price can get a little messy.. 😄 I suggest you going with a new pair of beats, they are perfect

Yeah the case is crazy and the fact that you can’t turn off the headphones unless they are in the case is a mad design choice that’s for sure.
I have seen some 3rd party case alternatives as well as a docking station that can be used on the desk.

Would like to wear them in the gym for non cardio work outs as well, I know that sweat isn’t great for them either.

Yeah, I just like the device switching that I get with my AirPods Pro 2, but as mentioned in my post, not always ideal when travelling

Anyone got experience of using them in the gym?
I know that they aren’t sweat proof, but I wouldn’t be wearing them during cardio sessions.
Only when doing weights.

I ended up buying them, and I use them for workouts too. However, I still prefer my AirPods Pro 3s for working out as the APM2 don’t work well when using certain machines

I’d probably keep using pro 2s for cardio and pro max for everything else.
When you say don’t work well when using certain machines, do you mean Bluetooth connectivity?
If so, I don’t have that issue in my gym as the equipment is over 15/20 years old😅
