I had my iPhone 12 for two years since it’s on 74% battery capacity I thinking of upgrading my iPhone to the iPhone 17 or maybe the base model iPhone 15 which one I should upgrade to btw my iPhone 12 is Amazon refurbished

the base 17 is superior in every way and you should snag one of those

even a base 16 would be so much better than a 15

The base 15 is especially terrible with the battery and the heat. Even OP's 12 might have better battery than a 15.

The 15 is a hard no in 2026
