switching to mac from gaming windows laptop

so i have acer nitro 5(16-512) rtx 3050 i5 12500h
i have iphone 16 pro, airpods pro 2 so i was thinking to get a macbook air m4 13 inch (16-256) (after selling my windows laptop and add some money if there is a difference)
my laptop is 2 years old
what considerations i should do and what do u think

right now with my acer laptop i don’t even use it because its not portable and i want a portable device for library or during class
i dont do editing and i am fed up with games as well
general video playback, movie/ youtube

the idea is a light device that i can carry even on trips which i cant do with my acer cuz its 2.5 kgs

shi cant even run most games anyways

Depends on what games you play. The MacBooks do have the hardware to play games, but some games just aren't compatible due to the developer not bothering to support macOS

my current rtx 3050 cant run modern aaa games anyway

i mean sure if i use some patches for the game to think its bigger card

also my 2.5kgs laptop and charger combo is a backpain for real when i travel

specially when i am carrying no checked in luggage

also can u guys tell what kind of photo management is there in macos

i mean i backup photos feom my iphone on to ssd but on my windows i don’t really like how it opens

try downloading amd adrenalin edition, msi afterburner, and razer cortex

imo those are the top three optimisers
