#MacBook Pro M1 Pro 14” speaker system sounding a little bit muffled
110 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
From what I'm hearing it just seems like the normal bass rumble. I dont hear anything "weird" or rattling about it.
It's just the good bass in ur MBP i think 😭
Thanks for helping
No worries!
Idk what’s that lol
Oh they are located in your Macbook Pro that enhances bass.
Oh
I didn’t know the MacBook had subwoofers
I read online I’d only had something like cancelwoofers or something like that
Force canceling woofers
However, upon closer listening there might be sth in your macbook rattling, like a screw has come loose.
Is it still under warranty?
Also forgot to ask what level is the volume set at?
Well I bought it refurbished like a month and a half ago
Actually pretty low
It was Somewhere here when I took the video
I noticed that it rattles on like low frequencies
Humming noises
Things like that
On higher frequencies I don’t notice it
Yeah might be the subwoofer bass vibration
Is it possible to get the MBP checked out?
I don’t think so. I don’t have any Apple stores in my country and I don’t have any Apple certified services in my city…
Also I have another thing that I wanna ask that isn’t related to the sound system. Should I create another post?
It’s about the screen
Whats wrong with it?
The keyboard makes these marks
On the screen
And they don’t come out
Clean your Mac computer screen or external display properly and safely.
And also…., the hinge makes some cracking sounds
I saw a Reddit post from 2 years ago from someone that had the same problem and I wanted to see if I did something that caused it or something
He said to keep a microfiber cloth between the keyboard and the screen but i think that would mess it up even more
The thing is that I tried doing that and it doesn’t come off
never put anything between the screen and keyboard. ever
Okay thanks for letting me know lol
have you tried with 70% isopropyl alcohol?
No lol I don’t have that
ye. it can be really bad. putting pressure on the screen and all
have you tried water?
So you’re telling that it’s not permanent
Yes
get some isopropyl alcohol
And a glasses cleaning cloth
Alright I’ll try to get that
any soft microfiber cloth
😄
as long as nothing is in between it you're fine don't worry
do you see why keyboard covers can be bad?
The thing is that I had some debris on the body of the MacBook and the next day I saw that the debris got in the screen. I didn’t even notice them until the next morning
Yeah
But I don’t understand why it makes those marks. The keyboard is pretty clean
i always routinely clean my keyboard
and I like to keep my screen clean
maybe develop those habits
Exactly like in this photo but not that pronounced
👍
Anyway, thanks for all the help
Let me know in here if the alcohol ever works
Alright. I’ll try to go to some stores to see if I can find any
@tribal crane Were you able to clean your screen?
Here are some additional resources:
Is it OK to use a disinfectant on my Apple product?
Using a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe, 75 percent ethyl alcohol wipe, or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gently wipe the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display, keyboard, or other exterior surfaces. Do not use these cleaning products on Apple Vision Pro as they may damage the device. Don't use products containing bleach or hydrogen peroxide. Avoid getting moisture in any opening, and don't submerge your Apple product in any cleaning agents. Don't use on fabric or leather surfaces.
Get recommendations and guidelines for cleaning your Mac, iPad, iPhone, Apple Vision Pro, display, or peripheral device.
I haven’t bought the isopropyl alcohol yet..
All good.
Thank you
Of course!
Hello. Sorry for bothering. I found this at my local store. It says it’s a disinfectant with 70% alcohol. Will it work?
no, isopropyl alcohol
Oh alright
is that it
Thanks
np
Well it doesn’t say it’s isopropyl alcohol
I’ll see maybe I find it at a pharmacy tomorrow
No problem
Will these work?
Chat gpt said that they are great for that
Cuz it doesn’t have add ons
it doesn't have alcohol
So it wouldn’t do anything
you can try "whoosh screen cleaner"
not necessarily. but for your case you wanna try something other than water (have you tried water yet?)
Omg that’s so expensive
Yes
I have tried water
I’ll try it again once I’m home maybe I didn’t insist enough on it idk
But I wont apply pressure
you don't have a screen protector on, do you?
