I don’t usually babysit my battery health, but I have to recently because my iPhone 15 battery seemed a bit strange.
Normally, it lasts less than 8h on Wi-Fi (screen-on time) and 6h on 4G-always-on (expected).
The maximum capacity reduced to 98% at 182 cycles, now it’s at 249 cycles and it’s already at 93%. Isn’t it a bit too fast? That’s like 5% loss for 60 cycles.
My main concern is whether should I bring my phone in for battery warranty or not, because there’s no official Apple Store location in here and just Authorized Apple Resellers and service centers (third party).
-# Note: Apple claimed its iPhone 15 and newer can hold at least 80% its original capacity after 1000 cycles.

In my experience, starting around 97% dipped suddenly then slowed down around 90% - but yours could be abnormal, if it doesn’t stop I’d get it checked out
It slowed down at 94, but 94 to 93 was still faster than 100-99 and 99-98
Maybe because I moved from a budget Android phone with more than a day of battery life that 6:30 or 7:00 of screen-on time seemed too short for me? I don't know. But reviewers I've watched on YouTube usually got around 7-8 hours. I'm also concerned because in reviews, the phone isn't used as if a normal person would
To me, 98 to 93 could be a bit fast, but I’d be mainly concerned if it doesn’t stop past like 90
Reviewers paid by Apple also probably go through tests made by Apple as well
It's almost the end of the year, so I'm a bit worried. I tend to have it at below 20% like almost everyday because my screen time is between 6-7h. That might be the cause, but doesn't mean it should go down this fast because it's supposed to keep at least 80% after 1000 cycles
I got this phone on exactly 1/1/2025, so my warranty will expire at the end of the year
My battery’s been at 89 for like 6 months to a year or smth like that, on my 13
If you have the warranty, then I would just check back in on it like in December
I would have gotten it checked earlier if there were official Apple service centers, but there aren't
And if something’s wrong, then you have the warranty lol
Hopefully lol
The reason why I don't trust authorized service centers as much is because even though they're authorized, there've been cases where issues appear on their own, and users brought them for repair but they rejected and noted in the phone's repair history that it is user problem, while when they brought them to other countries, their phones are still accepted for service
Thanks for your help btw
Np
Sorry I had to do something real quick lol

Damn it, it just went down to 92% after 5 more cycles. I think I really got a faulty unit
Idc though I forgot this existed
