Hello lovely people!
I’ve encountered a problem between my iPhone (11) and my iPad (9th Gen) regarding iCloud synchronization. For example I’m listening to music on my iPhone, and then start a video on my iPad, the AirPods should normally switch over to the iPad. Same thing the other way. But now they don’t do that anymore, as well as focus sync. For example, Sleep Focus is turned on, or any other Focus, my iPad wouldn’t activate that focus too.

Can anybody please help me with this?
It would be such a life saver!

Both devices are running on the latest iOS and iPadOS version (18.5)

Are both devices connected to WiFi/cellular?

Are the AirPods up to date?

They should be up to date
I’ve repaired them to my iPhone already and reset the AirPods themselves too

And is the “Share Across Devices” setting on?

I also did “forget this device” and repaired them as said

Same on the iPad

Are both signed into the same iCloud?

They appear as “my” AirPods on my iPhone, but my iPad thinks they’re not mine

I would recommend to remove the AirPods on all your devices as described in the article and then restart all of them before connecting your AirPods again.
