#2015 MBA being odd

It’s the 2015 MacBook Air and it’s only got 4GB RAM but i don’t use it for much
I’m also using like no storage
I did NVRAM and SRC and it’s getting a bit better and I’ll load the videos on Tubi, but for future, is there something I can do to make it last a little bit longer?
These specs are anemic in today's standards and the only real solution is to just get a new computer, downgrade macOS to an older version (not recommended), or use a different OS like ChromeOS Flex or a Linux-based OS
I had the same device
Tbh, if it’s running DEAD slow, then it’s time to upgrade
But since it’s buffering, is your ssd or hdd from a 3rd party or the original one that came with Apple
Some 3rd party ssd will be the cause for these types of buffering too, it happend to my friend
I did the NVRAM and SRC reset and it runs better, still not great but I can watch my shows, I don’t use the Mac for too much so to me it doesn’t justify spending so much money to get a new one
Once the fall comes back it’ll probably only be used for chrome and Spotify, and chrome will be for school
Yeah, macOS Monterey isn't great on 4GB of RAM.
If you want this MacBook to last a bit longer with that low amount of RAM, the best solution is to switch to an entirely different operating system such as ChromeOS Flex or another Linux-based OS. Windows won't be much better.
Is there a Linux that looks like Monterey?
There's many Linux systems that take inspiration from macOS. I'd do some research to see what's best for you.
