#install macOS onto an external hardrive

If you have an external storage device, you can set it up as a Mac startup disk.
Be sure to pay attention to the part about not using the DFU port, and how to identify which one that is.
also if you want to install an apple intelligence compatible version on the external drive, apple intelligence features will not be available
what about installing a beta
Pretty sure even on Tahoe you can't use Apple Intelligence when booting from an external drive
For that, you may be better off just using Tahoe as your main OS or taking the risk of dualbooting
But with Ventura, there's no Apple Intelligence
Forgot to mention this, but also be sure to boot the external OS off of an SSD. macOS these days is very painful on an HDD.
I don't like Apple Intelligence that much, I have a thunderbolt 5 SSD so no worries about that
if you install a beta on the external drive apple intelligence features will not be available
I am just wondering how can I install a beta into an external hard drive
