to this point i wouldnt mind 18 and losing data, i just want the phone to work because i have been taking very good care of it, ive had it since day one, i payed for it, and i want to still have it -- and, i read a few cases of people fully losing their device to this, fully bricked and having to pay a lot of money to get it fixesd

so, if it updates to either its fine, but im afraid that trying to update to 26 or 18 it will make things worse, i dont know if at this point i should just try to fully factory reset.......

i changed from imac to my macbook and i restored it from the initial promt finder gives you when you plug it in, and that did work

hey! I eventually did!! I am texting from my iPhone - turns out when it finally restored to iOS 18, when I was setting it up, it asked me to enroll in the Beta Programm to be able to use my backup, I said yes a little scared but it worked!! and it must've been a backup from Beta 3 also, but now I have my phone exactly how I left it
