notifications when locked

i am wanting to make it so it’s impossible to read my notifications, or see the apps they come from or anything when the phone is locked if possible

like the tracking thing, and any other ones for that matter, i just don’t want them to ever show when the phone is locked

Settiings->Notifications->Show Previews ... set to eitehr When Unlocked or Never.

On an AI capable device, you may also need to make sure you're not using a focus with Intelligent Breakthrough & Filtering.

As JimScard said, you can hide the notification contents while locked by configuring Settings > Notifications > Show Previews to When Unlocked or Never, however the app's name will still be shown.

To try and hide the app that the notification came from, you'll need to do the following:

• Disallow notifications from showing on lock screen: Settings > Notifications > [app name], then uncheck Lock Screen.
• Disable notification center when locked: Settings > Face ID & Passcode, then disable Notification Center

alright, yea for some reason messages shows who is messaging you which i didn’t like

the contents doesn’t show but it still shows like the contact name or the number or whatever

The only way around that would be a focus mode that turns off notifications from messages completely when the device is locked.

You could also go into Notifications settings, go to Messages and disable Lock Screen notifications, but still allow it on the Notification Centre. Then disable Notification Centre when locked in Face ID & Passcode settings.
