Dark Mode Icon for Snapchat

Does anyone know how to turn on the dark mode icon for Snapchat on the iPhone 15 Pro? Can't seem to figure it out. Appreciate the help!

If that doesn't work, then the dark icon's either on a beta version or just unavailable

I've tried all the steps you mentioned. It came out when dark mode was introduced to iPhone and after some time, it disappeared

Snapchat removed their dark icon for some stupid reason. The solution is to contact Snapchat, and that’s if they’ll even take action.

In the meantime, you can create a shortcut to open Snapchat in the Shortcuts app, and then add that to the home screen using a custom icon.

snapchat used to have a dark mode icon but they updated the app to remove it and lock it behind a their snapchat subscription.

try searching youtube for a tutorial on how to create icons with shortcuts. you will also need to get/create the image of the dark mode icon

Hi, Snapchat decided to charge for their dark icon. You need to do their paid subscription and then you'll be able to select it in the app's settings.

discord doesn't want people to be angry because it doesns't match the other dark mode icons they have

so they were nice like most people and gave the people the dark mode icon they wanted

or ios just automatically created a dark mode version for them

iOS 18 left it up to the developers. Guess what the iOS 26 “Clear” icon looks like for Snapchat? iOS26 creates them…

iOS 18 did the same thing tho - it auto transformed the icons it could, and so does iOS 26

It’s actually curious - the documentation for iOS 18 clearly stated that the developers were responsible for supplying the 3 properly formatted icons, (opaque light, transparent dark, grayscale tintable), and if they didn’t supply them, the light (default) one was used. The new documentation states that the system will generate any missing ones - and to note, iOS26 app icons are multilayered and they provided a tool…

That’s interesting, since on iOS 18.0 db3 third party apps started to get dark mode icons. As in almost all Google apps and some games, so I know the devs didn’t make them lol

I think Snapchat didn't get good responses from the public with dark mode, which is why they removed it, because they don't have any other reason not to continue unless they haven't mentioned it which could be a different story

No, it’s because they want to charge for it. They have it included as one of their custom icons if you subscribe to their paid subscription.
