None of my messaging apps will show that I have unread messages. I have everything turned on in settings. I don't know what to do.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting (iPhone-focused, since you’re on an iPhone 11 Pro)

  1. Restart your iPhone
    • Just in case it’s a temporary glitch.

  2. Check Focus Mode
    • Go to Settings > Focus
    • Make sure Do Not Disturb, Work, Sleep, or other Focus modes aren’t enabled or scheduled
    • If a Focus mode is on, it might block notifications quietly

  3. Notification Settings per App
    • Go to Settings > Notifications
    • Tap on each app (e.g., Messages, WhatsApp, Discord):
    • Allow Notifications: On ✅
    • Lock Screen / Notification Center / Banners: All selected ✅
    • Badges: On ✅ (this shows the red dot or number)
    • Sounds: On (optional, but useful)

  4. Check “Scheduled Summary”
    • Go to Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary
    • If enabled, notifications from some apps may be delayed and grouped. You can either:
    • Turn this off
    • Or make sure messaging apps are not in the summary list

  5. Background App Refresh
    • Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh
    • Make sure it’s on for each messaging app (especially for third-party ones like WhatsApp or Discord)

Update I did the network reset and I am getting notifications now thanks everyone.
