#iPhone thinks AirPods are 2 different devices

When I have my AirPods in the case and set my lock screen battery widget to only show my AirPods the widget is normal, but then when I take the AirPods out of the case the widget stops showing their battery, and vice versa (sorry if that’s not how you spell that 😭).

This only started happening after I got new AirPods for Christmas. My old ones didn’t do this. (Old ones were AirPods Pro 2 with lighting, new ones are Pro 2 with usb-c).

I thought maybe it was a iOS bug or a firmware bug with the AirPods, but 4 months later and it’s still happening.

Any help is appreciated. I can provide more details if needed

Also, I don’t like having the widget set to automatic because I hate when it shows me my phone’s battery over my AirPods lol

Have you tried factory-resetting them and re-pairing them?

I’ve tried re pairing them, not sure if I’ve reset them though. How would I do that?

What iOS version and AirPods version are you on

iOS 18.4, and version 7E93, but this has been happening since Christmas time

Are you a beta tester?

#

And if so, are you on a beta or a public version

#

And are they able to show their battery in the airpods settings?

#

Or in a bigger battery widget?

I used to be on the beta but I’m not currently on any beta software, and yes, everywhere else I can see the battery % just fine, it’s just the lockscreen widget that doesn’t work

Try changing the color of the widget

Why would that do anything lmao

#

I’ve done that multiple times not because of this, but but because I’ve changed my wallpaper

#

It does nothing

The color could glitch the widget
