#Why does this take up so much storage and is there anything I can do about it???

System data will often take up more storage than you think it should. There is no real way to solve this. It could be larger than usual if you just updated. On my M4 MacBook Pro, it often takes up around 50-100gb of storage
damn...
i never thought about it because i was using a 512 gb macbook... i just recently started caring because i upgraded and stuck with 256 gb
Mine is 1TB and system data often takes up over 100gb
As I’m writing this, it’s taking up 88gb
its honestly kind of a pain
on macos, system data may include files/data stored by apps on your computer
if you need more storage you could delete cache files from app
