#No Notifications from Apple Mail

I heard it was an issue from the 18.3.2
Is this happening only with emails from Gmail or from iCloud as well?
This is because the Gmail app is built by Google, and so Google can directly send notifications and alerts to the app. Same with iCloud Mail and the Apple Mail app.
However, other email clients have to manually fetch for new updates, so it can’t immediately see new Gmail alerts.
There’s sadly no way to fix this.
And Apple Mail does show new emails from Gmail right when you open it, because it automatically updates and refetches when you open it.
icloud as well but i think i fixed it, setting > mail > notifications > customize notifications and under each account i turned on alerts, idk why they were all off
Gotcha
ohh alright
iCloud apparently has been having issues with push notifications, but for Gmail within the built in Mail app, it doesn’t support Push.
So it’s delayed
You should still get notifications eventually, but it’s late
I use iCloud as main, Gmail as secondary.
Gmail for my main, iCloud for my dev email
