Hello. I have been owning a base model iPhone 15 for 5 months. Everything was okay all that time except the last week which it has been overheating almost every day and it loses battery quickly during the overheat. I am from a country that there aren't official apple stores so i bought the phone from an official apple reseller, however if i take my phone to that store for checkup it will take more than a week for it to be checked as they will have to send it on another city. And they won't give me a phone to use until mine is fixed and i really need my phone.
I have researched the internet a lot about the overheating issues and i am going to provide as much information as i can for if someone here could help me address the issue.
So, first of all what i have noticed is that the overheating issue happens when the battery is around 30-40 percent, that's when it starts.
- I'm not in a hot place or somewhere with sun, so it's not that causing the overheat.
- I have disabled background activity
- When it happens I'm using messenger and maybe one app in the background for example Instagram. I have been doing it for months tho and my phone is overheating only the past week so i don't think that the reason is this either
- Im using ios 17.5.1 but again i don't think that my iOS version is the problem since i have my phone for 5 months and only the last week it's overheating
I don't know what i could do to solve it. Any ideas or suggestions please? I assume that messenger app is the reason of all that but I'm not really sure.
