So I don’t like using a case and using MagSafe accessories left a ring on the back of my phone that I can’t remove, any way to get rid of it?

Or just, any decent towel might do, maybe get it a bit wet

It might be stuck on for good 😭

Have you tried using a towel and getting it just a bit wet and using that?

Ah

#

Uh

#

That’s what normally fixes stuff like that

#

How did the MagSafe attach onto the phone?

I just slap the thing on the back of my phone

#

I really only cycle between 3 things

So, prob magnet

#

Should’ve figured that 😅

#

Oh well

#

Idk why it’s doing that

#

Must be a strong magnet

Uh

Maybe a tiny bit of soap or something could help? Idk
If that doesn’t help, this mark is… persistent

#

Might have to take it somewhere that can remove it if it still doesn’t come off, idk where that would be

What I’ve observed over the years is that MagSafe accessories can leave ring-shaped marks on the back of your iPhone. Especially ones with stronger magnets like pop sockets. It’s actually quite common to see this at Apple stores of all places, but when you remember that the phones are constantly being taken on and off of their mounts, it makes sense. This is not helped by the somewhat abrasive matte finish on the back on newer iPhones, which means items like keys, coins, and MagSafe accessories can leave marks on the back - they’re not necessarily scratches, so it’s theoretically possible to remove the marks, but in my experience it’s quite difficult to do so. Even on my phone which has a MagSafe case on it, it left a small ring on the back of the phone. I was able to scrub it off a bit but not quite all the way.
