I bought an se 2022 40mm and the size of the screen himself is not a problem but it depends on if your wrists

Both look pretty good. I have the 41mm (smaller) S9 and I've never had an issue with the display being too small. WatchOS is nicely optimized for all screen sizes.

I used to have the sports band, but with my S9, I chose the sport loop. The sport loop allows for better air circulation, doesn't rub on your skin, and is just more comfortable in my opinion.
