#Can an iPad be used as a wireless touchscreen display for an M3 MacBook air

through what? third party software? sidecar?
I'm fine with any option, whichever is best: sidecar or a third party software
I want to discretely use the full fledged MacOS Photoshop program at my zero-thinking overnight job, so I thought: well controlling an iPad connected up wireless to my MacBook air sounds like the best solution
sidecar will have support for wireless, but it does not have touch capabilites "unless" you use the apple pencil
so its really used as a second monitor unless you have a keyboard with the ipad
third-party software i have not heard of a method being able to use an ipad as like a full on touchscreen macos experience w
I was told I can't do this with my MacBook air laptop lid closed, do you think that statement is accurate?
i mean, you cant enable sidecar on the ipad on its own
you need to enable it on the macbook
Yeah I meant connecting the two, and then closing my MacBook air lid
Since it's just mirroring the screen
let me try rn if that works
nope
it will automatically just boot out the ipad
back to ipados
I'll have to come up with some type of solution. My overnight zero effort required job isn't bad at all, but I could potentially make 2x 3x 4x the money by skills in Photoshop
So that's why my plan is to .. do both
why not just use the macbook with the ipad together rather then the ipad on its own?
I'm on camera all the time at my job, and they do actually monitor it. So I have to be relatively discreet
that makes more sense then lmao
Thanks for the help I'll figure something out
