And are you using a light mode or dark mode ?
And what iOS 18 version are you running ?
What latest would that be?
You should update to 18.1.1 at least or 18.2 RC

ans: it changes based on time of the day , just gotta make sure your location services is turned on, low power mode is off, reduce motion is off. And if there any issues, try a force restart
