i have a mac studio m2 max with 32gb unified memory, and it started have an really strange issue
when i try turn it on, the light comes up for half an second and then shuts off
it only starts sometimes and only if i unplug the power cord and then back again a few times it will turn on, but when i turn it off the issue persists
i tried running apple diagnostics and managed to turn it on by the power cord method, after running the diagnostics it showed no issues and since then the issue was fixed and while using the mac it randomly shut off on me and refused to turn on since then with the same issue
i attached a video of what the issue is (please ignore the dust)
any help is greatly appreciated!

So this is a first

#

For me

#

I’d take it in to Apple to get checked, not sure if there is much we can do. It seems to be hardware related.

#

Could be an issue where it’s not getting enough power or maybe the SSD is failing. Not sure though, just guesses

il take it to apple then

They would be able to see if it’s a hardware issue. Most likely that’s what it is in this case

#

I have never seen the light, glow on and then immediately turn off. Very odd.

i tried different outlets but its the same, sometimes it would turn on when replugging so maybe its an power management issue or something

That’s the other thing I can think of

il send it to apple then, probably an hardware issue

You can either start an Apple support chat and send them the videos, they can then set up an appointment for you to get it, checked in the store. Or you can just straight up go to the store.
