IPAD 3 INFINITE LOADING

I have this iPad 3 that sit for maybe 4-5 years untouched. I tried to charge it and it goes from the classic red bar battery ui stuff to the apple logo but after 5 minutes of booting up and only showing the apple logo it goes back to the red bar battery. Any ideas on what to do??? I let it charge for like one hour but this keeps happening
