Ok so to answer your question that iPhone is actually discontinued according to my research. It was discontinued on 9/12/2018.

Apple would not be able to help you on this one because that device is actually obsolete. I think they should be able to help you regardless. What iOS version is that device running on at the moment

Yea I had the iPhone 6 Plus and I had the same issue that you are having and I had to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro

Yea I had a feeling in my heart that it had to be the logic board what kept it from activating
