Does anyone know why I am getting the mail app notifications late, and how I can fix it?

Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Fetch New Data > make sure Push is enabled for that email account if it’s supported. If it’s not, make sure Fetch is set to automatically.

Gmail doesn’t have push support on the native Mail app

Gmails native app on the other hand does

I can’t tell if they’re using a Gmail account or not

Based on a previous experience, every email I get that’s delayed is from my Gmail account. My iCloud though comes right away. Let’s see what they say though.

Unfortunately there isn’t push support, so the email will come delayed.

You can set it to manuel, but that could use more power possibly
