may be double check the cable connection...and if you are transferring media(photos and videos) to a windows...it is better to use Microsoft Photos app than iTunes
I checked connection, tried another port as well and it didn't change anything
as for the photos app, I have slight issues with the app in general but I'll try to update it
I've been using photos legacy for quite some time so that may be why
ahh that worked
yea would suggest you to use the native photos app
but i still can't get it to show up in itunes
iTunes on windows is bugged af man
yeah lol
it rarely worked for mine
could it be because I'm using a non apple cable?
not really
ah
I use belkin cable
i use a xiaomi one
it does show up a lot of times
i see
oh the USB C
yeah
i see
but as far as that cable supports data transfer qualities it should be good
oh yea it is...but mostly it worked a lot
it has issues detecting sometimes
but eh worked
I can't export anything
yeah
and now they pop up in explorer
but the video I want to copy I can't even open
yeah
I did the download and keep originals thing from settings on my phone
and now on the photos app there's only 6 photos
now its the same as before
OK sooo
I kinda want to recommend a method
did you try P2P?
ShareDrop is a peer-to-peer file sharing app powered by HTML5 WebRTC.
this is a method I been using for a while
no cable...you and your PC needs to be connected to same wifi
i didnt but I will try rn
if you are transferring a lot of stuff...it will compress to zip
this is fast method
for my iPhone 7
