#Battery health on macbook air m1

Depends on how well you took care of the battery. Things like if it got hot or was left in the sun, left it plugged in for long periods of time, let the battery go over or drop under apples recommended battery percentage (I don’t remember exactly, but I think it’s 50%-80%), etc. can make the battery health drain quicker
Never left in the sun, never left it overnight plugged in, I kept it in the recommended battery percentage interval
Interesting
It all comes down to your usage. If you tended to use heavier applications that warmed the battery and processor in someway that could contribute to deterioration. But that’s just part of your use case so it’s not a necessarily bad thing. By the way, when did you get it? @stiff pond
I have bought it one year and 5 month ago as my friend’s one that is 98%
the whole idea of the battery preservation game is largely nonsensical since the battery is a consumable part that just needs to be replaced every now and then. Also I'm assuming you're getting the battery health from settings and not one of those shitty apps like coconut battery and similar?
because the only metric that actually matters is the one that shown in the settings app. The entirety of apples warranty and repair system as well as performance stuff basically relies on whatever gets shown so any third-party apps just don't waste your time
