So it’s almost 5 months since I brought my iPhone 15. A month back the battery health dropped by 1 and I saw that my battery drained faster than usual. And now my battery health is 98% with 146 cycles. Is this normal cause I dont know. My brothers iPhone 13 battery health is 80 something and it doesn’t drain as much as mine.

What version of iOS are you running by chance?

Depends on how well you’re taking care of the battery. If it’s getting hot, if you’re charging it a lot, leaving it on the charger, etc it will drain. I take very good care of my battery on my iPhone, so it was only down to about 96% after a year. It’s now just almost 4 years old and the battery is at 89%

If you check battery settings, do you see any apps using more battery than usual?

Or even just updating those applications (if they have one)

Oh

I'm not sure what it could be. It's possible it's a bug in iOS 17.4.1

Normal 98% 152 cycles

Yeah it is normal, maybe people with 100% after 150 cycles will experience health drop rapidly later

worrying about battery health is pretty pointless because there's very little you can do to actually preserve the battery itself. But also a difference between 100% and 98% is not going to generate drastic differences, it is a very gradual change. How long a battery last on a charge is a very complicated thing because it depends a lot on how the devices used and what you're doing with it and even down to factors outside of your control such as the quality of cellular service in your area and all sorts of other shit. Considering how your phone is, if you're running into issues with how long it lasts on a charge that's usually gonna be user usage and nothing else
