I remember creating an Apple ID with my gmail, but when I tried to login with it on my laptop today it said the account was inactive. I went to try to recover the password, but it said the account was inactive on that page as well. After I tried that, I attempted to create a new Apple ID using my gmail, but it said that I couldn't use the gmail. I tried to use an alternate gmail, but the website gave me a popup that said "Your account cannot be created at this time." I tried creating the account on the iCloud website and the Find My website, but no luck. I have contacted support and they referred me to an article that wasn't much help. Also, I need to wipe my iPhone, but I don't want to lose my e-sim. If I make my iPhone go into recovery mode does it erase my e-sim along with my data?

Try making a new apple id using an icloud account rather than a gmail/yahoo/etc
it would be like example@icloud.com
