What are the rumors saying for when the Mac Mini with M3 will come out? I'm debating whether to get one with M2 now (16 GB Ram and 512 GB SSD) or wait until the next M3 model comes out. This is my first mac that I will own, and I'm hoping for it to last ~5-6 years.

If you don't mind waiting for what could be a couple few months, then I'd suggest waiting for the M3 Mac Mini. If you need something sooner than that, then you hsould be fine with the M2 Mac Mini.

You most likely wouldn't need the additional HDMI adapter since you already have one included with the Mac Mini, unless you want to use more than one display. If you need that extra HDMI port, then it should be fine. Otherwise, get something smaller and can be easily hidden.
