Just wondering if the iPhone 13 is a good secondary phone for my 14 pro, I don’t mind the 60hz or that fancy as it’s a secondary phone, if it is a main, it’s a different story, and what storage is better, as my main is a 256gig model.
The one (and probably the reason why I decided the normal 13 over the 14/15) is the color, it’s stronger than the 14/15 softer color
#is the phone 13 a good secondary phone?

I’d say the iPhone 13 would be a good secondary phone. In terms of storage, that’s depends on what your planning to store, I’d your not putting much on it 128GBs would probably be fine.
I might occasionally store proRAW due to my almost low iCloud storage, but not too much yk
128GB should be fine then.
If it was your main that’d be different
Ofc
why not get an external ssd to store those files
considering ur situation yep it should be good
Honestly, the 13 is still running strong in 2024, so even as a secondary phone, it should be more than enough for just storing photos and videos.
Yeah, but I don’t want to airdrop it to my Mac drive then to the drive, I wanted to airdrop directly to be drive via the Mac
you can plug the drive into your iphone
The convenience of being able to access your files instantly is better than having to transfer back and forth between a SSD. At least for a phone
Thing is I only got a USB c to a which only currently work on my MacBook
But I’m also not going to pay for iCloud, as of right now, but still not going to
Yeah, by the time I upgrade my phone and my tech are still similar to what I have Rn, my USB c to a will not only work on my MacBook, but the new iPhone I get in the future, if it still got the USB c port
Yeah
oh right you have a 14 pro
not a 15 pro
Yeh
If you want, you could also downgrade with an 11 or 12 instead, and just get more storage, but again, its all up to you.
I’ll prob get the 13 to be future proofing myself
Again, its all your call.
I personally would go for more storage tho, since having more space would be more valuable, in my opinion, then futureproofing the device.
Oh yeah and if I do get the 13, is it better to get it new from Apple/reseller, refurbished or used (like facebook marketplace)
I probably wouldn't go on FaceBook Marketplace.
I've heard of too many fakes on there, not sure how true that is.
i mean there are fakes but if you are a little careful you should be fine
ive gotten lots of genuine items from fb
like my switch
That’s good
There is a refurbished site that have Androids, iOS, MacBook, Windows, Consoles, etc; is it alright if i send it through so you can have a look
sure send it here
or maybe tell us the name

Yeah if I were you, I wouldn’t go below the 11 pro as that’s when Apple used the 2 x 2 modem on their devices which it yielded lower LTE scores, 11 pro and the SE 3 and up have the 4 x 4 modem which allows for faster speeds and supports LTE+ (iPhone 11 regular didn’t really and iPhone 12 and SE3 and over had 5G) essentially the regular 11 had 2x2 and 11 pro and higher had 4x4 with the 12 having 5G along with 4x4 for LTE+ support
I live in an area with LTE+ and speeds are far more superior and reliable imo than my older phone without it
i personally wouldnt go below 13 esp cuz its just better than the 12 in so many ways
Agreed
Plus they'll get slightly longer software support too.
yep
What the difference with the 14?
Like does it have 4x4 LTE+
I already know it have 5g, that’s a no brainer
Yeah the 13 and 14 both have the 4x4 LTE+ modem, main differences are 2gb more ram, 1 extra gpu core and action mode I believe
Not the action mode, it’s only currently for the 15 pros Rn
Instead of the silent switch
If your talking about that
Action Mode is a camera feature which is on the 14. Action button is on the 15 Pro and Pro Max
Si
You could find some 13 Pros for the same price as a new 13
Where about
eBay, FB market place, swappa
