If you threw it across the room then the damage could be anything from the ribbon cable itself to the display just coming disconnected from the throw. Or even the display just stopping working. That's a hardware fix bud, not a whole lot you CAN do from there. All the ways that I know of to mirror an iphone screen to a mac or any other computer involve being able to at least use the display of the phone to produce inputs. Especially if you've never connected to it to the recipient computer/mac before. I'd take it a stop and have them open it up or if you're brave enough to do it yourself watch a video on how to take it apart to see if the cable just came disconnected.
