I have an iPhone 12, it has almost 2 years now and my AppleCare+ ends in late February of 2023. Also, my battery life is at 90%, and I know that Apple offers a service to replace the battery for free if you have AppleCare+ under certain conditions, one of them being that the battery life is under 80%. Else I need to pay 75€, which is fine for me but if I have the option to have it replaced for free... How can I deliberately decrease my iPhone's battery life below 80% in less than 2 months?

- Why would you want to do that?
- There really isn't a way to decrease your battery's health so drastically in less than 2 months.
I thought I could get away with it 🥲
Nope.
- How the hell did you manage to lose only 10% in 2 years? @long charm
Well I got the phone back in February 2021, and I watched some videos on YouTube on tips to increase battery longevity. They've been really helpful to be fair.
Surely they did cuz I have 91% and I don't even have it for a year (11+ months)

But do you have AppleCare+?

well mybe i not to late, which video on yt that you watch?
my iphone is 3 months old still 100 percent
3 months still not big deal, my iPhone drop from 100 to 99 take 10 months.
Damn
Sorry, take 7 months +
battery longevity largely depends on 2 things: temperature & battery cycles. run cpu & gpu intensive tasks (e.g. running banchmark apps on loop) over a heater, while iphone is on battery. put it to charge when the battery is drained. And repeat!
it should take a few weeks for sure, but as they say, you gotta work hard to get something 😂
