There are a number of things that will be above the free tier on AWS:

  • Registering a custom domain in Route53: $12/year for a .com (other top level domains can be cheaper or more expensive and you can register elsewhere as well)
  • Cloudformation Distribution: $0.50/month

Thank you so much @gilded spindle . I will keep this in mind—any other tips for successfully completing this challenge.

#

I am not far on the project; just setting up my HTML resume. I am done setting up AWS CLI and SAM Setup.

the reason people learn so much doing this challenge is because the instructions are a destination and they force you to find the way yourself. and each wrong turn helps you learn additional things that just being able to follow the happy path wouldnt expose you to. I would encourage you to lean on a video guide after trying a number of things yourself first.

Yes, true. The video uses AWS vault, whereas I am using AWS CLI. So I am learning to read the AWS CLI documentation.

#

Also, I think the videos have used GO lang to test

FWIW, I started the challenge on September 7th, and my bill for the month of September was $1.70 (not including purchasing the domain)

Got you. So it will not incur a huge bill.

#

Thanks for info.

Absolutely. If you do have a real bill, it probably means you went viral and lots of people are looking at your work (almost certainly will be worth it 😊)
