Imagine if the ascension tree had subsections. For example, the sacred book of projectiles could actually be opened and lead to a New Page where all the bow upgrades are. Other candidates are the bag, the wind dash and coimbo sections, mimic's corpse which would have chest in a chest inside instead, and several more. This would clean up the giant ascension tree while making it feel multifaceted. At the same time plab would have more room to add new stuff without bloating the tree. It could also have some neat visuals, like every section having its own background.
I know it's pretty unrealistic, but the thought is cool and has a Ton of upsides to it.

If anything, you could maybe add icons/ some sort of indications for pre-requisites and link to their pages, so that way if you have enough, you can just get it. Maybe also use the same color scheme as present to indicate availability of the perk?
