There should be an achievement for killing a giant with only arrows, it’s a niche thing but would be cool for people that think of it/go through the achievements menu, and it’s possible I’ve done it befor, titled something like “David didn’t have that many shots” or “David only had one shot” or “david only shot once” or some amalgamation of those it’s a reference to the biblical story of the young David killing a giant with a sling and stone

I am on 55 USP and I still cant kill anything other then the hills giant and snow giant with only arrows, that’s with bat bow doubling my arrow damage

Exclude goblin king because he isn’t a true giant, it’s too easy to get the achievement like that, but the you have to actually try to do it for the other ones

I would argue it’s not that easy to do it to hills and frost, my thumb ached a little from spamming when I first did it

Every single other niche or Easter egg achievement is mid to early game progression, + the achievement wouldn’t make sense if it only applied to late game giants

You only start getting bonuses to bow damage after USP 45, and even then it’s minimal, not enough to take down either of those

If anything it should be hill giant exclusive because of some interpretations of David and Goliath, Goliath was made of stone or had stone like skin

it's more than possible to take them down at that point (if you have wind dash unlocked at that point, which tbh I don't know if you do)

Because it’s a cool idea and when I first thought of it I was fully expecting and achievement to pop up for killing a giant with only arrows but one didn’t and I was disappointed, and I thought it’s funny you have to shoot so many to fell just one giant but David in a story did it in one, so situational irony applies, and it would be cool

hmm i dont hate it but i dont overly like it, gets pretty arbitrary when you start saying goblin king doesnt count because its not a true giant, its classified as a giant in the game just because it has low health shouldnt make it any less of one

For the naming aspect i mean personally i dont really care nor would I have got the reference but regardless id be doubtful for it to be called that

Goblin king king could be included cause it’s only introduced mid game and if a player hasn’t done it yet that’s when it could happen

if goblin king is included thats fine, but also i just feel that gimmicky achievements arent really added anymore its mainly just achievements related to new content progression
