#Rework special promise (again)

Seriously. Waiting 8 hours to get a bs is NOT cool, because you're gonna be losing on the DP and even if you use it while sleeping, you could wake up and check the game before those 8 hours of idle. So why not just rework it again

I'd say to rather do one of these two options (or two because nobody is gonna argue that it's bad for their progression)

  • 1 special activity: you're gonna get a guaranteed bonus stage after you stay active for over 1 hour (or 30 mins if you prefer) . This DD will cost 300 DP (because I KNOW it's op)

  • 2 special promise™: it's basically the boring rework of the current special promise, it will just change that instead of after 8 hours of nonstop idle you'll get a guaranteed bonus stage, it's gonna be 8 hours of idle (accumulated) example: I sleep for 6 hours, that's while idle, and after I check the game to just send the minions and collect them, I stay idle for another 2 hours then I'll get a guaranteed bonus stage, the price will raise up to 150 DP because since it's buffed the price must be increased as well

As someone who got to use this divinity maybe once or twice my first couple of years, I get it.

Yeah it's not forcing you to pay 8 hours for a bs it's a reward if you happen to be offline for 8 hours

If you're not going to be then you can use the dp elsewhere which is what makes it as a dark div really nice

For people like us that are off the game for more than 8 hours, this a neat Dark Divinity. Or else I'd never have completed many bonus stages.

Honestly, just making a better version of this deep into late game that reduces the wait time to 4 hours would be so much better. The only times I don't touch this game for 8 hours is when I go to bed, otherwise it's opening it every 2 hours or so to collect minions which ends up resetting the timer

Then don't use it? Not like you're locked in can turn it off any time if it's not of use

I'm not sure why the answer to wanting something buffed at late game is usually met with the response of "well don't use it" or "the players ask for too much". With end game mainly just being farm DP and idle, any super late game benefit is worth talking about

He's not wrong though; I can understand having it be 8 hours when you first start because there are a lot of things missing early to make it worth the while, but past mid-game, it really is just not a good upgrade. I hear people say all the time that there is no such thing as a bad upgrade, but there are definitely almost useless ones

Checking back into things that could be rebalanced is never a bad thing, especially when it would help out end game grinding too

This is incentive to put the game down and actually sleep.

or just make it give a box every 8 hours if your offline it saves it till your online, if your online it spawns immediately, it solves the issue of feeling like you just wasted it if you play the game hen you're just about to hit 8 hours and geting 1 garanteed box every 8 hours is terrible if you're online so its not exactly a huge buff.
