The quest rewards you with a permanent upgrade, but you have to do it again after you UA even after you purchase said upgrade

You can do it again, but there is no reward for doing so. There's no real rush to do so or not, since you'll be there anyway for souls.

as for OP: You joined the server to make a bug report when it would have been easier to just check the wiki first...? (Or ask anyone, anywhere I suppose.)
