V5.3.6 on a Samsung Galaxy
I have completed the ascending heights stage a couple of times (fast travel between the village and top of Mount Otto has been unlocked and can be used) but I have not received the achievements for doing so

It can be a bit confusing but that's not ascending heights that's just climbing mt otto
You have to climb it once to get the quest from colo that unlocks the minigame for ascending heights

I think it is an issue that it counts at all and changing that might ease some confusion regarding the minigame.

V 6.0.0 on steam & no achievement popping, Reached top many times and no achievements given. May be due to Ascending heights height changed from 1500 to 1250 before I unlocked the ability to do the minigame. Pablo, please check the height at which the achievement unlocks!

(iirc it also counts for the achievement later, even if it isn't unlocked in the Village)

just cleared it twice, once with the Dark Divinities and once without.
Both counted, went from 178 to 180.
For some reason, the counter doesn't update until the game is closed and opened again, similar to the Days Played stat.
(also, didn't know the golden platforms also spawned at Mt. Otto. Neat!)

imo this would have been a good time to interject some personal experience, like "it says I've cleared Ascending Heights at least eight times despite not having unlocked it yet"

i also don’t have ascending heights unlocked (the electric yeti quest is not done), but i did the mt otto 5 times for fun and it counted in stats
though it doesn’t update instantly in stats, i had to force stop and re enter the game

also climbing the mountain a few times can cause you to get more than one achievement for completing ascending heights once you complete one
i had it happen when i got an achievement for both completing 1 and 5 AH's
it was actually even just failing

I thought I did the 1 & 5 simultaneously on my second file, but didn't have proof
