3-5 minutes of extreme focus on top of the 3-10 minutes (likely more due to visiting specialrandombox or Village) for boots to spawn... It's a lot to ask for for some players.

One thing that is certain is that it is impossible for a game to make everybody 100% happy. I will say that this game has a lot of ways to avoid most things if you don't like them. So in your case, since you don't like the new mini-game, activate the dark divinity and they wont spawn, problem solved.

Thats not how you made it sound initially, I just assumed you didnt like the mini game. I also assumed that you arent on the train all the time, so activate the bonus stage when youre on the couch, and deactivate it when you about to get on the train. I dont know what else to say

Fyi-it was originally 2000m normally and 3000m with the divinity, it was already reduced to 2500m and 1500m, why stop there? A 100m bonus stage would be dope

A problem for mobile players is if you press both directions you’ll lose all momentum and general touch screen controls are extremely bad for a platformer mini game like this

The issue isn't that the game is too hard, though it is challenging. It is too long especially in comparison to the other minigames.

The first two minutes or so are just filler, before the difficulty is upped to a noticeable level.

I'd like it better if it was 1,200 meters to begin with, with the difficulty ramping up more rapidly (per 400 instead of 500.) The Dark Divinity could then add another 600 M to the climb. (I think there are four difficulty levels, anyway. If it's actually three, then the difficulty can ramp up every 600 meters instead of at 500 / 1,500.)

Heck, the Dark Divinity doesn't need to make the game longer at all. It could increase the starting difficulty instead.

So now that I'm out of defense mode, there are some points here, however, a similar argument could be made for bonus stages, that they take longer than chest hunt so lets get rid of stage 4. As for difficulty, who crushed bonus stages on their first few tries, not me, muscle memory has to set in. I'll admit, I was ready to boycott the new mini game when portrait mode went away but you cant say it didnt get easier. I also suck at boss fights but i wouldnt say make it take less time and make it easier, im gonna work on it.

Not saying make mini games take an hour and put them on hell mode but heres my counter suggestion. Reduce to a 1000m and 1500m or whatever but once you complete the minigame and go to the chest a pop up comes up and says "do you want to continue climbing?" those that dont like how long the mini game is, click no and collect your rewards and hopefully excellent daggers, those that want to keep playing, collect the chest then click yes and climb til you cant climb no more. Nothing has to change except you can keep collecting some reasonable rewards. Everybody wins.

well, let's hope the rewards become decent first 😅 There's already been quite a few threads about how pitiful they are. (There has been a past thread about this topic, as well.)

I don't have an issue with this being the hardest minigame (including boss fights.) I'd prefer if it wasn't also the most-time consuming and least rewarding of all of them, to boot.
