Scribble is looking like a must have for my current project. I need text which can scale to the screen perfectly and isn't a pixel font, so msdf is my only choice for compatibility from my understanding. After I processed the font (Open Sans Semibold) to msdf, I noticed it was slightly blurry compared to normal ide hosted or sdf text, so I made the attached comparison.
The normal sized text I would rank ide > sdf > msdf. The scaled up text I might give a slight lead to sdf over msdf, but it's close. So scaled up text, I'm happy with msdf, but when displayed at the default size, msdf appears blurry in comparison. I tried altering that pxrange property when generating the msdf, but it made no real difference.
Is this everyone's experience, or is there something I'm missing? or perhaps another font would get better results?
